This little gadget tries to do a lot of things, but if you are looking mainly for an ALARM CLOCK, stay away from it. You got to learn how to touch all these little buttons when you want something and make sure you don't touch something when you don't want it! And all that beeping, every time you touch it and no way to stop it!The biggest draw-back: I want to be able to see the time on my alarm clock by just opening one eye - not by trying to find the "clock" in the dark and touching it, so I get 30 seconds of lighted display! I bought it thinking that since it is a 120 volt clock (not a battery one), I would be able to turn the back-lit display on and keep it on. No such thing.
So I returned the unit and got stuck with re-stocking fees, plus I lost the original shipping charges AND I had to pay for the return shipping (in rough numbers I paid out $75 and I got $50 credit upon returning the item). To the credit of the shipper, the return process went very smoothly and quickly.
I send an e-mail to the Oregon Scientific with my questions stated. They came back to me two weeks later asking me what my question was!! By that time I had the clock returned.
In short: the worse experience I had with Amazon.com - but then I have had a lot more good experiences with them!
