Small Portable AM/FM Shortwave Radio Review

Small Portable AM/FM Shortwave RadioPaid $39.98 at J & R Music World.Best in class. While this radio is not for the serious SW listener, it is just right for the international traveler who is concerned with space and reception. And, at this price point if it is lost or stolen you're only out $40.Sound on AM bands better than average...on FM also OK...does receive stereo with headphones...SW reception better than average, that is expected with a C Crane product...service also good, that too is expected with C Crane...size of the radio a bit large but OK...drawbacks....dial light a bit dim...and when you turn radio on with am band engaged you get a strange beep..but that's tolerable..overall, don't waste hundreds of dollars on a sony or grundig....most likely this C Crane radio will fill your needs at a very reasonable price point....I give it six stars
