I purchased this clock to use as a World Time clock with my shortwave radio. It is a useful, accurate little "no-frills" self-setting clock. The alarm can also be nice, although it's not actually loud enough to wake me. The primary display mode conveniently shows you the time (with seconds), the date and the month. While the digits are not illuminated, the large "Snooze" button on top also activates a 5-second back-light.Unfortunately, the mechanism that sets Zulu time in this clock has not taken into account the recent decision by the U.S. Congress to offset Daylight Saving Time by two weeks. Evidently, this clock computes the UCT time by extrapolating from the local time zone offset, instead of the opposite. This means that you'll have to adjust your offset by one hour for those two weeks between the time that the U.S. used to change their clocks and the time that they change them now.
