Soundesign 3160J Jukebox Alarm Clock Review

The picture of this jukebox alarm clock is a bit misleading. It's somewhat smaller than I expected and looks like a cheap novelty toy. But since we decorated one of our guest rooms as "The Music Room" this fits right in. It is battery operated, which is a drawback for an alarm clock if you really depend on waking on time! It does have provision for battery backup if the main batteries die.
The songs it plays are snippets of the original artists and are kinda fun.

Equity 25509 14-Inch Commercial Wall Clock Review

Serves its purpose. Noisy clicks when it ticks and obviously the construction of the piece is crap plastic for the most part but you are paying [...] for a decent looking wall clock. Not so great for a room where you demand quiet but we put this in our workout area where clicking goes unnoticed and the numbers are big and easy to make out from a distance. This sure is a clock.

Wall Clock with Hidden Safe Review

I bought mine from Amazon seller "Buy the Best Incorporated" and received the Clock-Safe in broken condition in a resealed box. It had to be obvious to the seller that the product he shipped was used and broken. I left a "seller feedback" stating the above, Amazon promptly removed my feedback. Paid $39.98 at J & R Music World.Best in class.While this radio is not for the serious SW listener, it is just right for the international traveler who is concerned with space and reception.And, at this price point if it is lost or stolen you're only out $40.Sound on AM bands better than average...on FM also OK...does receive stereo with headphones...SW reception better than average, that is expected with a C Crane product...service also good, that too is expected with C Crane...size of the radio a bit large but OK...drawbacks....dial light a bit dim...and when you turn radio on with am band engaged you get a strange beep..but that's tolerable..overall, don't waste hundreds of dollars on a sony or grundig....most likely this C Crane radio will fill your needs at a very reasonable price point....I give it six stars

Sony ICF-CD853V AM/FM/TV/Weather Clock Radio/CD Player Review

I've owned the "Liv" version of this alarm clock, same model just different color, for about 6 months now. I initially liked the digital tuner, CD-RW play ability, 3 alarms, and 3 Tuner function. Also I liked the compactness of it and it's small "footprint".
I'm afraid I must rate it unacceptable however, I'll explain why. First I have a problem with seeing the time on the LCD, being backlit makes it hard to read the numbers- even being placed directly across from my bed, it's also difficult to see at certain angles too (it completely disappears) I believe if just the numbers themselves (not the whole screen) were litthen this would be a solution. Secondly, I think the "buzzer" is way too polite or cute and could easily see someone sleeping thru it. It's not volume adjustable either. Lastly, and probably most important, this thing has only a 1 min internal back-up if the power fails. That is a critical design flaw in my opinion. In other words, if the power happens to go out for anytime longer than just 1 minute while you're sleeping count on oversleeping, being late, and seeing a flashing "12:00" to greet you when you wake. Like I said, this is simply unacceptable. I really don't understand why sony didn't just incorporate a 9V back-up like other alarm clocks use. In closing, I wish I never bought it, but oh well, I've learned my lesson. Please steer clear of sony alarm clocks until they improve these sort of design flaws.
