JENSEN JCR-262 Sensor Snooze AM/FM Clock Radio Review

You won't have to worry about waking up on time because you'll never get to sleep; the LED display is so bright on low setting that it illuminates the whole room to the point it seems an alien abduction is in progress. All other aspects of this unit are fine, with the exception that you still have to reset the clock after unplugging/power failure, even with a 9V installed. Why, oh why can't Sony make one of their excellent basic models with a blue LED display??

Emerson Dual-Alarm Clock Radio - CK5051 Review

My husband and I really enjoyed this clock. Why we don't have it anymore has nothing to do with how it performed. It was a great clock. We liked how the numbers were large. That LED light makes it soothing to look at as well. No bright red, yellow or green lights. Just a nice blue(and there is a dimmer switch on it if it is too bright for you). It's taller than it is long which makes it a nice space saver. We also had quite a few storms last year, and if your power goes out and comes back on later (even after 2 days like what happened to us, the right time WILL show up again) And as an added bonus, the alarm still goes off on time if it is plugged in and the power is out (so long as you put a battery in it of course :D ). About that snooze button. We had no problems with that either. If you set the clock away from where you sleep, so you have to get up to turn it off, then you will actually look to see where the snooze/radio buttons are. Of course you're going to hit another button if you just reach over the bed, eyes half shut, and slap the thing. We had no problem finding the buttons with our eyes wide open. One more compliment has to be that we didn't find the buzzer annoying either. It was actually pleasant compared to every other one we tried out in the store. Go ahead, try them out. You'll see what we mean. It's more of a beep than a BUZZ! Which was really nice. Me personally I have to have the buzzer on. Otherwise I will fall back asleep to the music, and the one thing I can't stand to hear when I first wake up in the morning, is a loud BUZZ sound. Praise God, they made one that BEEPS for a change. Equity 31015 Digital LCD Alarm Clock with Blue Display Review

I love the look and size of this clock.The display is large enough and the alarm is loud.It is very basic and easy to use.The only problem is that the clock is not what the description says it is.The back light only comes on when you push the "snooze/light" button and the light is not very bright.I need a clock with the light always on as I wake up at night and want to know the time.This would be difficult for me with this clock because my clock is not at my bedside (so that I have to get out of bed to turn off the alarm in the am).Also, it is only battery powered.You can use one AA or a 9 volt, but there is no way to plug it into the wall.I was fine with this because I wanted a battery-powered clock but, as I mentioned, the description was misleading. I will be returning the clock because of the light issue.

Timex T105WX Color Changing Alarm Clock (White Gift Box) Review

The backlight went out after just 2 days....it no longer lights up on either the face or shell.
Before that I was still not happy with it, anyway. Even when it did work the outside shell light was too bright to sleep next to when set to any color other than red, even with the dimmer set to low.
Also, barely bumping the LCD screen would leave black marks in the display you'd have to try to shake or massage out.
The only good thing about this clock was the idea. But it was very poorly done.

Equity (40010) Insta-Set Alarm Clock Review

I threw away my money on an Equity Insta-Set alarm clock. "You never have to set it" - this is only true if you would like your alarm clock to tell you the wrong time. I live in Florida. Right now, it is 4:43 PM and we are on Daylight Savings Time. According to my new Equity Insta-Set clock, it is 6:39 AM, for an error of 10 hours and 4 minutes. If you want your clock to show you a time that is 10 hours and 4 minutes off from the real time, you'll love the Equity Insta-Set.

Maybe there is a way to remedy the situation... I can't tell because there is no SET button and the clock didn't come with any instructions.

Worthless.

I love the Big Beautiful Blue Display on this Clock Radio.I can easily read it from across the room.I bought it mainly for use as a bedroom clock.As a clock, I would give it 5 stars.

The Radio part is a different story.The controls are very crude, and have a cheap feel to them.Tuning in stations is a pain.The sound quality is like what I would expect from something this size, just okay.For me, this is a radio that I have tuned to a local station, and it will likely stay that way.I don't intend to use the radio much, except maybe as an alarm clock.As a Radio, I would give it 1 to 2 stars.Not too bad if you always keep it on the same station.

If you are looking for a Nice Clock with a Big Time Display, and don't care much about the radio, I would Recommend this item.

Equity 30037 Jumbo 1.8-Inch LED Alarm Clock Review

The Equity 30037 1.8" LED clock is a good value, and works well.However it is advertised on their website as having a "display dimmer", which it does not seem to have, and they have not answered my emails on this subject.It is extremely bright, so is OK in the daytime, but is overly bright at night.I had to open it (4 outer screws and 4 inner periphery screws) and insert a neutral density filter inside the bezel to decrease the brightness.The 30037 is a clever design that uses miniature LEDs to reflect light into the display segment bars, which provides adequate but not total uniformity in the segment light distribution.The unit requires 1 AA battery if you desire backup power.

You won't be able to receive many stations you can get on most radios. The tuner dial is very inaccurate. Stations overrun each other. You can hardly see the time in daylight because it is so dim. You can't see the tuner dot unless bright light is shining at it.

Let's see... could this item be worse? No, and it will cost you way too much to return it. Take the money and just burn it instead of buying this clock radio.

Sharp SPC019F Red LED Alarm Clock with a Wedge Style Case (Silver/Blue) Review

This alarm clock is very attractive on your nightstand. Takes up very little room. It has served us well for over 2 1/2 years, and after sharing it all this time (my husband resets it for me every morning when he gets up) we realized that we should just get a 2nd one! I'm placing my order right now so we'll have his 'n' hers matching alarm clocks on our nightstands. :)

One feature we like is the 2-volume setting. He is a light sleeper and wakes up fine on the quieter setting, whereas I sleep like a log but wake up great on the loud setting.

Edit: I just received the 2nd one and found it to not have the high/low volume setting that I previously wrote about.It also does not have the night light that my old one has.Upon further inspection, I realized that I did not check the model # before writing my review.My old one is model SPC020, which has those 2 features.Whereas this SPC019 does not.I am only noting this for people who might read this review and order based on those features.

I have had this clock for about a month now and I love it. The numbers are large and bright, perfect for checking the time across the room at 3 am. The battery back-up works great on my clock, I have unplugged and moved it serval times without a single reset. The controls are pretty easy to navigate; the radio has great reception with the external antenna, the tuning is not real precise but at this price point what can you expect. I would recommend this clock.

RCA RPC100 Big Button Clock Radio Review

I don't get the bad reviews, at all. The clock has a large, easy to read face with a subtle light, which means no struggle to read the time when you're waking up, and no intrusion when you're trying to fall sleep. It includes an adjustable backlight, an AUX jack for your MP3 players, and 2 awesome settings: NAP, which lets you set a quick nap time - up to about 90 minutes I believe - without having to change the actual alarm time, plus a SLEEP setting to listen to your radio and have it turn off automatically when you pass out.

Radio reception for me is great, and the clock includes a mini display to the right that shows the preset alarm time when the alarm is turned on. I love this, since I know, as long as I see a time there, I know it is on. Otherwise, it says OFF. Way handy compared to other clocks which have you hit Snooze or some other button to confirm the alarm time.

Great clock overall! A+

Electric Alarm Clock with Selectable Display Color Review

This is a plug in clock with a battery backup (which is not entirely clear from the description). It is very small (definitely fits in the palm of your hand) but has a very clear LCD. I like that you can customize the color for the display but I found the basic blue shown in the picture works the best. It is perfect as a second clock for the other side of the bed--presuming there are two people.

My husband and I went through 4 other alarm clocks before we settled on this one.This alarm clock provided everything that was missing in each of our previous alarm clocks.It has a large easy to read from across the room display (but can be dimmed or shut off and then on again w/a wave of the hand), has two separate alarm settings which you can set for weekdays only, weekends only, and weekdays and weekends also w/buzzer,or radio which each of the two alarms can be set to individual preference.Both alarms are displayed constantly underneith the time (which is suprisingly reasuring feature to have) and my husband likes that the alarm shut off button (radio on/off) is a big round button off to the very left side of the alarm which allows him to turn the alarm off every morning without first putting his glasses on and then hunting for the off button.I love it that once you tap the off button, it turns the alarm off for the day and then automatically resets itself to wake me up again the next day.I also have the option to not shut the alarm off and listen to the radio for an hour as I get ready for work, after which time it will shut itself off until the next day again.All in all a very good buy and well worth the money!!

Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm (White) Review

I bought two of these, (one for my husband and one for my teenage son), since they would automatically reset themselves after a power outage. They both immediately complained that the alarms were not loud enough, (both are VERY heavy sleepers). It does have a very light and polite beep with no volume control. However, the beeps gradually increase in frequency and after week of use, both of them are waking up easily to the sound and without the jarring blasts from our old alarms.
So, it may require getting accustomed to for heavy sleepers, but it's great for those of us who don't like to be blasted awake every day.
