iHome Spacesaver Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPod - Pink (IH12P) Review

I bought this for my 14-year-old daughter about a month ago.She had an iHome that bit the dust after a lot of use and was wanting to replace it. I took a chance and hit the jackpot !

It's small size makes it very cute and the shocking hot pink color was a hit.Basically, it looks so cute she didn't care that much how it sounded.The small size makes it ideal for her bedside table and she can operate all the controls from bed.It's easy to operate and has all the features she and I were looking for.In particular, we like the sleep feature. She can put her iPod in, set the sleep timer for 90 minutes and it takes care of itself.Otherwise, the music would go on all night !

The sound isn't fabulous, but it's consistant with the price point and a decent value.

Overall, a very good purchase !

Equity Skyscan 40138 Backlit Display Atomic Alarm Clock Review

This is a very nice looking clock and functions very well as stated in the product discription, except for me I CAN'T SEE IT AT NIGHT OR ANY OTHER TIME.The light is almost non existant, so forget trying to see it at night, which is why I bought it in the first place.The design is such that a bedside lamp doesn't shine light on it.The only way I can actually see what time it is, is to physically pick up the clock and look at it straight onI wish someone would manufacture a bedside clock that would have the day, date, month, indoor temp, and stay lit all night without pushing a button. THIS, IS NOT THAT CLOCK.

This alarm clock lasted about two weeks before it died on me.The dim feature stopped working and just makes the display go black.And the alarm stopped working, or rather it works but is too quiet to hear.I would hope that I just got unlucky and got a onetime bad product but I'm not going to press my luck by buying another one.

Magnavox MCR140 Big Display Alarm Clock Radio Review

I wanted a clock radio with a large screen but one that looked relatively stylish as well. This Magnavox fit the bill with numerals nearly 1.5 inches tall (which is unusually large for a clock radio). It's easy to see the time from far across the room.

The appearance of the unit is also really nice, with rounded edges and some minimalist modern flair, as opposed to the boxy black mediocrity that you normally find in this price category ($15-20).

Lastly, the radio on this unit has excellent sound quality and projects well across my large living room. The sound quality is crystal clear and doesn't sound muffled the way most clock radios of this price do.

My only gripe is that the internal antenna seems highly vulnerable to movement in the room, and I'll often times have good reception when I'm standing near the radio, but as I move away from it, the sound becomes static-filled. This doesn't happen all the time, and it seems to depend on the placement of the radio on my shelf (if I move it half an inch one way or the other, it usually fixes the static issues), but it does get annoying on occasion.
